The Bilga and Shahkot police have booked unidentified farmers on the charges of burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officers (SHOs) Mhinder Pal and Jaswinder Singh said they have received reports that farmers of Burj Kela, Dara Pur, Gumtala, Mau Sahib, Nagra, SudharaTalwann and Mehsam villages under Bilga police station and Eeno Wal,Punia Rame , Ram Pur and Reharrwan villages under Shahkot police station set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard.
SHO’s said cases under section 188(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC have been registered against unidentified farmers.
