The Shahkot police have booked a youth on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Pardeep Kaur said that the accused has been identified as Amrit Pal Sing son of Paramjeet Singh a resident of Daullat Pur Dhadda village.
.The victim complained to the police that the accused waylaid her on April 23 morning and forcibly kissed her and thus outraging her modesty.IO said that a case under section 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and 354- A (physical contact and advances involving unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
