The Nakodar Sadar police have booked two e unidentified persons on charges of snatching cash and a mobile phone.
Sanjay Kumar a native of UP and an employee of Sultan Pur Lodhi-based finance company complained to the police that he was returning after collecting money from customers on May 2 when two unidentified motorcycles borne accused attacked him near Billi village and snatched his bag containing Rs 35000, and a mobile phone.
The Investigating Officer Harwindar Singh said that a case under sections 379-B (2) (snatching) of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified accused and further investigations are on. Increasing incidents of snatching in areas have created a sense of insecurity among residents and put a question mark on police patrolling.
