The Lohian Khas police have booked a villager on the charges of rash driving and causing hurt by an act endangering life.
The investigating officer (IO) Govindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Palwindar Singh a resident of Rai Wal Bet village.
Baldev Singh a resident of Preet Nagar Kapurthala same village complained to the police that the accused was driving his active shooter very rashly and negligently on May 26 and hit his scooter near Sabu Wal village and seriously injured him and his wife Davindar Kaur.
IO said that a case under sections 279(rash driving on the public highway), and337, 338(causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
