NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a tractor driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
Investigating officer Nirmal Singh said that the accused had been identified as Charanjit Singh son of Hans Raj a resident of Uggi village.
Resham Singh a resident of Rasul Pur had complained to the police that the accused tractor driver was driving very negligently and fast and hit his nephew Ajay Kumar's motorcycle on February 21 on Uggi Rasul Pur link road killing his wife Simran Sidhu who was pillion riding.
I O said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving) 337.338(causing hurt by an act endangering the life or safety of others.) and 427 (mischief)of the IPC was registered against the accused tractor driver.
