The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charges of outraging a woman’s modesty and under ArmsAct.
Investigating officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused has been identified as Sahib Jot Singh a resident of Mannak Pur village.
The victim complained to the police that the accused compelled her to have friendly relations with him and threatened at the point of pistol to kill her
IO said that a case under sections 74 (criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty),126(2)(wrongful restraint), 351(2)(criminal conspiracy) 3of the BNS and sections 25-1(B)27,54,59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
