The Nakodar City police have booked a Mehat Pur village on the charge of sexually harassing a woman.
Station House Officer (SHO) Harmindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Rohit son of Mahesh Chand a resident of Birr Baloki village under Mehat Pur police station.
The victim complained to the police that the accused stalked and sexually harassed her on May 19 and ransacked her shop and threatened her with dire consequences.
SHO said a case under sections 75,78 79(sexual harassment) 126(2) (wrongful restraint) 351(3) criminal intimidation) 324(4) (mischief) and 3(5)(committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused .
