The Nakodar city police have arrested a migrant d gangster on the charge of extortion and murder bid.
Investigating Officer Rajindar Pal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Deepak Kumar son of Lakshman Parshad a resident of Lucknow UP presently living in Ludhiana
The victim had complained to the police that he received a WhatsApp call on his mobile numberInvestigating Officer Rajindar Pal Singh said a case under section 308(5) (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt), 351(3) (criminal intimidation of the BNS was registered against the accused.
Nakodar Sadar police station house officer Palwindar Singh said that the accused is also wanted in a case ofattempt to murder registered in February 2026 against him.
