Vigilance Bureau Faridkot on Monday quizzed former Faridkot MLA and a close aide of former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh for over an hour in alleged disproportionate property than the known sources of income besides Benami Jaidad(property purchased in others name/third party to conceal the identity of the real beneficiary).
Dhilllon, who was also the political advisor to the chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh was called by the VB for the second time. For the first time, he could not appear before the bureau due to some personal engagements.
“Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon presented himself before the VB today on our call. He was cooperative while answering our questions today.He has provided some information regarding the property, however, some of the information was not satisfactory. We have given him proformas to fill up and submit it soon to the bureau. He said that he will provide all the details in a week,” said Jaswinder Singh, Dy SP of VB Farikdot speaking to the media today.
The DSP did not disclose who had submitted a complaint to the VB, but he said that the VB bureau is conducting an inquiry on its own and has got some details regarding this from his own sources.
But he made it clear that an inquiry is being conducted of having his disproportionate property than his known sources of income besides having Benami property.
Dhillon speaks
Speaking to the media, Dhillon said that his whole business is like an open book.”We pay all kinds of taxes and it is online. Anyone can check it. We have rather lost our assets to contest elections instead of getting a single rupee from any one. I am open to the inquiry and I have assured the VB bureau that all the required information will be provided by me soon. I walked to the VB office along with my income tax lawyer who has noted all the questions and will furnish the information,” Dhillon said.
“My transport business has not flourished like Sukhbir Singh Badal. Rather it is fair and stable,”Dhillon quipped.
Dhillon further said that inquiry should be there, anyone can be questioned , but it should be fair, unbiased and free from political gains.
About incomplete projects, he said that most of the projects are near completion initiated by him and his previous government, but the present government has stopped the payments to the contractors and they fail to complete the ongoing projects. So I appeal to the government to release the pending payments so that stalled projects could be completed.

The required information was collected and as his income rose disproportionately, it needed to be probed. But as he has alleged bias, the Bhagwant Mann government does not have any bias against anyone. But whoever has been found involved in corruption, must be in the dock however big he could be,” said Gurdit Singh Sekhon,MLA Faridkot posting his video message on social media.
