The Bilga police have booked a travel agent-proclaimed offender on a charge of non-appearing in court.
The investigating officer (IO) Sat Pal said that the accused has been identified as Naresh Kumar son of Paras Ram a resident of Nanak Pindi village under Jalandhar Sadar police station.
IO said that Phillaur judicial magistrate first class Sukhman Deep Singh has ordered that the accused has been declared a proclaimed offender in a case under sections 406/420 of the IPC and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional Control Act and should be booked under section 174-A (Nonappearance in response to a proclamation under section 82 of Act 2 of 1974). IO said a case has been registered.
