The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charges of killing a youth by giving him poison.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Baljit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jograj Singh alias Joga son of Gurnam Singh a resident of Sokhe Wal village.
Balwindar Singh a resident of Nihaluwal village under Lohian Khas has complained to the police that the accused and his two other accomplices assaulted his brother in -law Gursharan Preet son of Tara Chand a resident of Meiwal Arianyan village on April 28 and forcibly administrated sulphas poison to him which killed him.
SHO said that a case under sections 302(murderer) and 34(committing the crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and Buta Ram son of Lachhman a resident of Meiwal Arianyan village and Shubam son of Lali a resident of Salliachan village who are absconding.
