The Shahkot city police have busted a gang of snatchers and arrested its one member and booked two others.
The investigating officer (IO)Lakhbir Singh said the accused has been identified as Ramndep Singh alias Manni son of Tarsem Lal a resident of Ruanta village Ajmat Aslam a native of Bihar and employed in a rice mill at Malsian town complained to the police that the accused and his accomplices attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon on April 30 and snatched cash and mobile handset from him.
IO said that a case under section 379- B (snatching) and 34 (committing crime with common intention0of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his accomplice Jaspal alias Manni son of Joginder a resident of Raunta village and their one unidentified accomplice.
