The Nurmahal police have arrested two thieves on the charge of stealing material from a shop.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Jugraj Singh said that the accused have been identified as Karan Mattu son of Ram Chand and Sukhwinder Singh son of Resham Singh residents of Kot Badal Khan village.
Chuharr Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that thieves barged into his shop on April 29 night and stole an old sewing machine and 50 kilograms of iron scrap.
I O said that a case under sections
457 (lurking house trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the
IPC has been registered against the accused and recovered from their possession a sewing machine and 57 kilograms of iron scrap.
