The Bilga police have arrested a man on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor. The Investigating Officer Harjindar Singh said 90 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Ajaib Singh a resident of Amritsar district and living in Phillaur town. A case under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused and recovered Rs 3400 from his possession and impounded his moped (without a number) and booked his accomplice Labhu who managed to escape.
