NAKODAR
The Nakodar police subdivision has 1532 licensed weapons and of these more than 1240 have been deposited after the imposition of the code of conduct for the Jalandhar parliamentary bye-poll.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police Harjindar Singh said the police are hopeful of complete compliance within a few days adding that license holders have been told to deposit their weapons at the earliest otherwise the police will send reports to the deputy commissioner recommending cancellation of their licenses.
