NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling and brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Sarabjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurdial Singh a resident of Mira Pur village and 57 bottles of hooch and 175 kg lahann(raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from his possession. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused.
