The Shahkot police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling opium
The Investigating Officer (IO) and Malsian police post-in-charge Kirpal Singh said that 500 opium was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurmail Singh alias Bagga son of Sadik Ram a resident of Basti Jodhe Wal. Ludhiana.
IO said that a case under section 18 (b) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The Nakodar city police also arrested six drug peddlers Harwindar Singh son of Sarabjit Singh,Vishal Sandhu son of Suraj Bhan and Karan Singh son of Bavir Singh all residents of Shankar village with 7 grams of heroin and 300 intoxicant tablets and Jaswindar Singh son of Vasann Singh a resident of Parjian Bihari Pur village in Ludhina ,Gaurav Khosla son of Ashok Kumar a resident of Nakodar and Kashdeep Singh son of Jasvir Sngh a resident of Bangi Wal village with 500 intoxicant tablets said IO’s Kulwindar Singh and Govinder Singh.
