The Shahkot police have booked a local resident on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO) Balvir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Lovprit Singh a resident of Mohalla Guru Teg Bahadar Nagar Shahkot.
Kulwindar Kaur a resident of the same locality complained that she was closing her main gate on April 11 night when the accused driving his tractor trolly hit and injured her and damaged the gate.
IO said a case under sections 323, 325(voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
