NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police have arrested two villagers on the charge of selling and brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officers Jaswindar Singh and Davindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Piara Singh and Wajir Singh residents of Beetlan village and 48 bottles of hooch and 50 kg lahann(raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from their possession. Cases under section 61/1/14 of the excise act have been registered against the accused.
