Nurmahal police have booked a village resident on the charge of producing a fake matric certificate for claiming village Lambarrdari
The Investigating officer (IO) Paramjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sandip Kumar’s son of Kashmiri Lal a resident of Fateh Pur village.
Jalandhar deputy commissioner cum district collector while deciding a case of Lambarrdasri of Fateh Pur village on November 24, 2022, has ordered that Sandip Kumar has attached a fake matric certificate with his application for claiming village Lambarrdari which is rejected as improper, and directed Nurmahal Naib Tehsildar to take legal action against Sandip Kumar.
A copy of the order was sent to the Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) to act against Sandip Kumar.
SSP ordered the Nurmahal police to investigate and register a case.
IO said a case under sections 420(cheating ) 465,467 and 471(fraud) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
