Three villagers booked for outraging religious feelings

 The Lohian Khas police have booked three villagers on the charges of deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.

The investigating officer(IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh son of Swaran Singh ,Harjindar Singh alias Manna son of Rashpal Singh, and Amrit Pal Singh son of Bachitar Singh all residents of Kakarr Kala village.

Harwindar Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that he was working in his fields near the cremation ground on February 8 when the accused reached there and asked him to stop laying of underground pipeline to a nearby farmer and attacked him and removed his turban and Sri Sahib ( a smallsword ) and threw them in wheat fields and threatened him. 

 

IO aid a case under section 295(injuring or defiling a place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class) ,323(voluntarily causing hurt) ,506(criminal intimidation and 34(committing the crime with common intention ) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
