The Bilga police have booked a proclaimed offender on the charge of non-appearing in court.
Station house officer (SHO) Mohindar Pal said that the accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar son of Abhijit Singh a resident of Farwala village.
SHO said that a Phillaur court has ordered that the accused has been declared a proclaimed offender in an assault case and should be booked under section 174-A (Nonappearance in response to a proclamation under section 82 of Act 2 of 1974). SHO said the case has been registered and further investigation has been handed over to assistant sub-inspector Ashwani Kumar
