The Lohian Khas police have booked a villager on the charge of brewing illicit liquor.
The Investigating Officer Sukhdev Singh said that 10 bottles of hooch and 50 kilograms of Lahann (raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurnam Singh alias Gami a resident of Ismail Pur village who managed to flee from the spot.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
