NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a woman drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk. The Station House Officer (SHO) Sukhdev Singh said that 20 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Kulwindar Kaur wife of Balwindar Singh a resident of Pandori Khas village.
SHO said that a case under section 15(b) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and her husband who managed to free from the spot leaving behind a Motorcycle (PB-08-EM-4491 on which he was traveling with his wife with the contraband which has been impounded.
