The Bilga police have arrested a village shopkeeper on the charge of selling Chinese string which has been banned.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Mohinder Pal said that the accused has been identified as Major Singh son of Piara Singh a resident of Sangowal village and recovered 2 rolls of Chines string and 8 empty rolls from his grocery shop.
SHO said a case under section 188(disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
