The Bilga police have arrested two drug peddlers including a woman on the charge of selling heroin and intoxicant tablets.
The Station House officer (SHO) Mohinder Pal said that 4 grams of heroin and 50 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Kamaljit Kaur alias Toti wife of Amrik Singh a resident of Sangowal village.
SHO said in another case 120 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the passion of Ranjit Singh alias Ranna son of Gurdass Singh a resident of Sangowal village. The accused told the police during interrogation that his wife Sarabjit Kaur brings intoxicant tablets and he sells contraband. SHO said both are notorious drug peddlers and five and four cases are pending against them, and Sarabjit Kaur has been nominated in the case.
SHO said cases under sections 21(b)/22(b) 29/61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.
