NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday that the central government should put pictures of Ganesh-Lakshmi in our fresh currency.
Delhi CM & AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has said, "I appeal to the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put the photo of Shri Ganesh Ji & Shri Laxmi Ji, along with Gandhi Ji's photo on our fresh currency notes….As I said, we need a lot of efforts to improve our economy, for India to progress further.
But along with this, the blessings of the deities are also needed. If there is a picture of Gandhi ji on one side and Lakshmi ji and Ganesh ji on the other side in Indian currency, then the whole country will get their blessings. Lakshmi ji is considered to be the goddess of prosperity and Ganesh ji is considered to be the god of obstacles. In such a situation, the pictures of both of them should be put on the notes. We are not saying that all the notes should be changed but this can be started in the new notes that are being printed every month.
Arvind Kejriwal has also said that 'when Indonesia can do it, Indonesia also chose Shri Ganesh ji, then we can also do it. I will appeal by writing a letter to the Center tomorrow or day after tomorrow.
