Faridkot: While the average age of a person is considered to be around 70 years,the alleged backwards district Bathinda has about 185 persons living healthy even after crossing hundreds years of age, a century, and they might have born in the year of 1922,25 years before India got freedom.
According to the instructions of the election commission of India,the 185 persons have been awarded the letters of appreciation (commendation) on the directions of deputy commissioner Bathinda,Shaukat Ahmed Pare.
The 185 votesr above 100 years of age has been found in the six assembly segments of Bathinda district.
This data brings a surprise to many who claim that cancer ridden Malwa belt is undergoing less than normal average age.
