SHAHKOT: The Shahkot police have arrested a mother-son duo on the charges of outraging woman’s modesty, voluntarily causing hurt, mischief, and committing crime with common intention.
The Investigating officer (IO) Harbhajan Lal said that the accused have been identified as Jogindar Kaur wife of Sarbann Singh a resident of Punia village and her son Jasvir Singh.
Baljit Kaur wife of Jaswant Singh a resident of Punia village complained that the accused abused her on September 5 her mother-in-law caught her hair and threw her on ground and his brother-in-law sat on her body and beat her with blows.
IO said that a case under sections 354(criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 427 (mischief) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
