NRI Samaj Sewa Sanstha demands election of NRI Sabha in Punjab soon

Kapurthala; NRI Samaj Sewa  Sanstha today demanded the election of NRI Sabha Punjab which has become defunct body for the past more than 15 years.

Addressing a press conference here today NRI  Samaj Sewa Sanstha Chairman Jaswant Singh Bhandal NRI from Germany blamed the NRI Sabha for not looking after the welfare of NRI’ s languishing in Punjab jails and even the fast track courts set up to speed up justice for NRI’s are not functioning properly.

He disclosed that a deputation of NRI Sanstha will meet Punjab Minister Kuldip Singh Dhaliwal who is also holding portfolio of NRI soon to discuss the welfare of NRI’s and to restore their confidence in the state government so that they could contribute in the development of punjab.

He alleged that NRI Sabha failed to convene annual meeting of NRI’s in Punjab for the past more than ten years  to redress their grievances .

He disclosed that NRI’s wanted to invest in Punjab to boost its economy but they were not getting support from government machinery. 

Lambasting at Punjab police , the chairman alleged that despite registration of criminal case against the culprits who attacked him few years ago police yet to arrest them  and accused were roaming freely without any fear .

Bhandal was accompanied by Devinder Singh Shergill president NRI Sanstha USA, Kanwaljit Singh Jeeta from Germany, Harinderpal Kaur and Gurdev Singh
