After police files challan in two cases against Vijay Inder Singla, CJM Court issues summons to appear on Oct 17,

Sangrur: Sangrur Police has presented challan against former cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla in 2 cases and CJM Court Sangrur has issued summons to appear on 17 October 2022.

 

The challans have been presented by the police under the Disaster Management Act 2005.

The first case was registered at Sangrur police station on February 12 this year under Section 188 of the IPC and Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Further, after receiving another letter from the Returning Officer, a second FIR under sections of the IPC and Disaster Management Act, 2005 was registered at the same police station the next day.

 

In the case, the police allege that Vijay Inder Singla organized a political rally of 250 people without permission and disregarding the Covid rules. According to SSP Mandeep Sidhu, the police have registered an FIR against Singla in 2 cases, in which the court has sent summons on October 17.
