CHANDIGARH: In view of the persisting severe cold wave conditions in the state, Health and Family Welfare Department has come up with a detailed advisory. It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab is witnessing a drop in temperature to near freezing point and prolonged exposure to cold increases likelihood of various illnesses like flu, running stuffy nose or nosebleed, hypothermia, frostbite etc.
