NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the states to reduce their taxes due to the rising petrol and diesel prices. During the meeting convened with the Chief Ministers on Covid-19, PM Modi said that it is necessary to increase the coordination between the Center and the states. He said- In order to reduce the burden of the rising petrol and diesel price, the Central Government had reduced the excise duty in November. States were also urged to reduce their taxes. Some states have reduced the tax here, but some states did not give its benefits to their people.
