The Nakodar Sadar Pur police have booked two villagers for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officers (IO’s) Lovleen Kumar and Kulwindar Singh said the suspects had been identified as Dalveer Singh Avtar Singh a resident of Bajuha Khurd village and Balbir Singh a resident of Bopa Rai Kalan village.
Nakodar Sub Divisional Magistrate L.V . Bains directed the police that the suspects burned paddy fields in their villages and should be booked.
IO’s said cases under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the suspects.
