The Nakodar Sadar police have booked an unidentified farmer for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Govindar Singh said the police received an online complaint from the concerned authorities and a satellite image of burning paddy stubble fields in Jahangeer village.
IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the unidentified accused.
The Lohian Khas police also booked an unidentified farmer for burning paddy stubble fields in Sidhu Pur village.
