Three  booked for using caste remarks, assault

 

NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have booked three people for using cast remarks.

Station House Officer (SHO) Aman Saini said that the accused had been identified as Amanpreet Singh alias Kala, son of Nirmal Singh, a resident of Batura village, and his two unidentified accomplices.

Buta Ram a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused used caste remarks against him assaulted him and ransacked the house of Harjindar alias Jindi and used caste remarks with whom the accused had earlier quarrelled.

 

SHO said a case under sections 3(1) (R)(S) of the Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes Act 1989 and 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) 324(2) (mischief) and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS  has been registered against the accused and  ASI Amarik Lal is conducting further investigation.
