Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today visited the Leather Complex, Jalandhar, and the Regional Office of Central Leather Research Institute(CLRI) , Jalandhar.
CETP stakeholders brought to the kind notice of Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar that the sewerage lines of the wet zone area of Leather Complex remain chocked and the sewage wastewater overflows besides issues of ownership rights problems for their factory plots allotted/transferred in their names by the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSI &EC).
Deputy commissioner assures them of speedy redress of these problems faced by them.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar also visited tannery CETP, Leather Complex, Jalandhar where it was apprised that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has already approved the upgradation project of the CETP for a total cost of Rs. 28.64 crores.
Dr. Aggarwal also visited the campus of the Regional office of Central Leather Research Institute, Leather Complex, Jalandhar, and appreciated the services provided by this Regional CLRI office towards the promotion of the leather industry of Jalandhar.
Prominent amongst present on the occasion included Hira Lal Verma, Parveen Kumar, Deepak Chawla, Amandeep Singh and Jitender Kumar, K.C. Dogra, Administrative Officer, PETS-cum- Nodal Officer, CETP.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar assured the stakeholders of the CETP that the issues that came up from the industry during the meeting would be taken up with competent authority for early solution.
