District administration Jalandhar on Friday launched the Sampoornta Abhiyan under the Aspirational Block program in Shahkot. The event was presided over by Sunil Phogat I.A. S. (under training) and nodal officer of Abhiyan and Sub Divisional Magistrate Rishab Bansal
Speaking on the occasion, they highlighted that the Shahkot block is part of the aspirational block program aimed at holistic growth through improvement in 35 different indicators. They noted that Niti Aayog has now selected six specific indicators to focus on over the next three months. These indicators include Antenatal Care, Hypertension Screening, Diabetes Screening, Nutrition for Pregnant Women, issuance of Soil Health Cards, and Revolving Funds for Social Security.
The officials emphasized that a comprehensive drive will be conducted to improve performance in these areas. An awareness rally marked the launch of Sampoornta Abhiyan, followed by a cultural event and a panel discussion. During the event, the Aspirational Block Fellow, officials from various departments, and delegates from Niti Aayog were also present, showing their support for the initiative.
The Sampoornta Abhiyan aims to enhance the quality of life in the Shahkot aspirational block by addressing critical health and social issues, ensuring a more sustainable and equitable development for the block.
