The Shahkot police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of tampering with the registration number of a vehicle.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sulinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Iqbal Singh son of Pashor Singh resident of Kot Eese Khan and Anmol Preet Singh son of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Longi Wind village under Kot Eese Khan police station in Moga district.
IO said they were intercepted at a Naka and during checking it became clear that they had tampered with the registration number of a vehicle in which they were traveling from Moga side.
IO said the vehicle’s registered number was PB05-AM-5141 which was covered with black tape and was tampered with the number PB-08-AM-5747.IO said a case under section 482 (using false property mark) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
