The Mehat Pur police have arrested three persons on the charges of assaulting a minor, kidnapping, and confining him.
Investigating Officer (IO) Manjinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Vilas Das son of Dukhan Das, Aklesh Kumar son of Masun Das and Neeraj son of Bahadar Das all residents of Sango Wal village under Mehat Pur police station.
Dasrat Muni a native of Bihar state and presently living in Sango Wal village complained to the police that the accused waylaid his minor son Chano Kumar on July 1, 2024, assaulted and kidnapped confined him in their house, and threatened to kill him.
IO said a case under sections140-3,191-3, and 190 of the BNS (365-kidnapping,148 and 149 -routing of the IPC) has been registered against the accused.
