The Nurmahal police have booked two villagers on the charge of criminal trespass.
Investigating officer (IO) Bodh Raj said that the accused had been identified as Lakhwinder Singh and Paramjit Singh residents of Uppal Khalsa village.
Jaswant Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused ploughed his two canals paddy crop on a rental basis raised boundary lines between fields and tried to encroach land.
IO said that a case under sections 447(criminal trespass) 427(mischief) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
