DC reviews preparations to tackle dengue, malaria,  chikungunya

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today visited the local Civil Hospital to review the preparations by the health department to combat diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya.

He instructed the health officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements for treating patients suffering from dengue, malaria, and chikungunya are in place ahead of the upcoming monsoon season so that no patient faces any difficulty.

He emphasized the availability of necessary wards for dengue patients and the importance of maintaining cleanliness in these wards.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various departments including OPD, ophthalmology, medicine, gynaecology, dental, blood bank, X-ray unit, ultrasound, and laboratory, assessing the healthcare services being provided to the admitted patients.

He stressed that all patients should receive medicines from within the hospital and that no doctor should prescribe medicines to be purchased from outside.

Dr. Aggarwal interacted with patients and their relatives to gather feedback about the healthcare services being provided at the hospital. He urged the entire staff to adopt a courteous demeanour towards patients and their relatives.

He reiterated that the district administration is committed to providing better and standard healthcare services to the residents of the district and ensuring that every patient visiting the hospital receives the necessary medical services promptly.

The Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with Civil Surgeon Dr. Jagdeep Chawla and other medical staff.
