Jalandhar leads  state in providing citizen services; DC asks officials to achieve  target of zero pendency ;


JALANDHAR
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today emphasized achieving the target of 'Zero Pendency' in providing citizen services while reviewing the services provided through Sewa Kendras in the district.

Chairing a review meeting here at the District Administrative Complex with officials from Sewa Kendras, the revenue department, and other departments related to various services, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that Jalandhar district has secured the first position in the state in providing citizen services, with a pendency rate of only 0.09%.

He reported that from June 19, 2023, to June 18, 2024, the administration has received as many as 389,771 applications for over 430 services across all 35 Sewa Kendra in the district, of which only 366 (0.09%) are pending.

Commending the entire team for this achievement, the Deputy Commissioner urged officials to ensure timely processing of applications received both online and offline to achieve zero pendency.

Dr. Aggarwal directed Sewa Kendra staff to seek only the necessary documents from applicants for various services and ensure the resolution of applications based on these documents.

He also instructed the officials present from the Revenue Department, Social Security, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of services related to their respective departments so that citizens receive services without any delay.

District Revenue Officer Navdeep Singh Bhogal, District Social Security Officer Manjinder Singh, and other officials were also present at the meeting.
