 Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today reviewed various health programs during a meeting of the District Health Society, instructing health department officials to further improve health services.

Chairing a meeting at the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Major Dr. Amit Mahajan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Lakhwinder Singh Randhawa, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jagdeep Chawla, and other health department officials emphasized that people visiting health institutions do not face any difficulties. He stated that dedicated and diligent efforts should be made to provide health services to the people in a hassle-free manner.

Dr. Aggarwal reviewed the progress on providing Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards to persons with disabilities, PC and PNDT, institutional deliveries, immunization, ANC, Rogi Kalyan Samiti, NTEP, birth and death registration, and the performance of de-addiction and rehabilitation centers. He instructed officials to achieve the set targets within the stipulated time.

To tackle dengue, the Deputy Commissioner instructs health officials to adopt a proactive approach. Likewise, reviewing the ongoing door-to-door campaign for larvae inspection, he emphasized raising awareness among the district's residents about precautions to prevent mosquito infestation in their surroundings, especially during the rainy season.

Taking stock of the RBSK program, Dr. Aggarwal urged education department officials to encourage children identified by health teams for treatment to avail of free medical facilities at health institutions.
