DC to address grievances of people from 10 AM to 12 Noon on working days

To bring more transparency and accountability in providing citizen-centric services in Jalandhar district, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal would listen and address the grievances of people at his office and public meeting hall from 10 AM to 12 noon on working days.

Dr. Aggarwal said that “the district administration has chalked out a comprehensive plan to provide the citizen-centric services speedily so the precious time of people to be saved. “The grievances will be disposed of on the spot or registered immediately in case some time is needed to resolve it. Similarly concerned officials will be informed on the phone to resolve the matter expeditiously and revert to the DC office and the concerned member of the public.

Under that, a “follow-up desk“ has been set up which will follow the action taken on applications/grievances presented to the Deputy commissioner besides informing the people about the status of their complaint/application in a time-bound manner.

He also informed that a “special counter cum help desk “ at DAC is to be set up soon which will guide the people all day. The desk will also guide the people to approach the concerned officials on behalf of the Deputy commissioner even afternoon daily.

The help desk would also guide the people about the procedure to be followed for their work / concerned branches/offices and the time frame to complete the work.

He also asked the officials to work in unison to provide the services to people in an easy and hassle-free manner.
