The Lohian Khas police have booked five persons including a woman on charges of assaulting a woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manjit Kaur wife of Pipal Singh a resident of Ismail Pur village her sons Jassu and Bittu and Binder and Kaka also of the same village.
Manjit Kaur wife of Paramjit Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into her house on June 12.
She said that Pipal Singh and his wife Manjit Kaur
assaulted and threatened her and her sister-in-law.
She said that Pipal Singh and his wife Manjit Kaur assaulted her maternal aunt on June 12, and we had called an ambulance which is the reason behind the attack.
IO said a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing hurt ) 452 (house trees pass ) and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
