Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal met with officials from various departments today to review the preparations and arrangements for the celebration of Satguru Kabir Ji’s Pragat Diwas on June 22 and the Shobha Yatra on June 21.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner assigned responsibilities to senior officials from different departments, emphasizing the need for personal supervision to ensure all arrangements are completed on time. This will help ensure that devotees attending the events do not face any difficulties.
He also instructed the officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements at the event site and along the procession route. This includes cleanliness, beautification of the area, provision of drinking water, temporary toilets, parking, fire brigade services, medical teams, ambulances, and medicines.
Dr. Aggarwal directed police officials to implement robust security measures during the events and to prepare a route plan to avoid any inconvenience to the public.
He also instructed PSPCL officials to ensure an uninterrupted power supply and to promptly remove hanging wires along the procession route.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the district administration would make thorough arrangements for the events. He gave specific instructions to ensure smooth transportation, so that the public, especially the devotees, do not face any issues. Additionally, he directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness and proper lighting along the procession route.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Major Dr. Amit Mahajan, SDMs Balbir Raj and Jai Inder Singh were also present during the meeting.
