Agriculture department Faridkot held a Kisan Mela at Dhingra palace Faridkot on Wednesday.
The main theme of the mela was to bring down the paddy stubble burning incidents by using new machinery which is being supplied by the state government on subsidised basis.
Apart from it,the scientists from department and PAU Ludhiana shed light on the various problems of Kharif crops,including cotton.
The scientist at the mela told the farmers about the effects of the changing weather.
As the weather conditions are changing across the globe, their impact on agriculture is also there.The farmers must learn to adjust the agriculture crops as per the changing weather.
"The farmers can also apply for the new subsidised agriculture machinery to manage the paddy stubble burning. THe wheat season, the incidents of stubble burning have fallen considerably. The credit for bringing down the burning incidents also goes to DC Vineet Kumar," said Dr Amrik Singh,CAO Faridkot.
The Mela was inaugurated by Kultar Singh Sandhwan,SPVS.
