The Mehat Pur police have arrested two and booked five persons on the charges of assault and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating officer (IO) Harwinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Lovpreet Singh a resident of Salaichan village and Ajay Kumar resident of Mulle Wal village under Shahkot police station.
Kawaldeep Singh a resident of Mohalla Model Town colony complained to the police that the accused barged into his cycle shop and assaulted him and his brother. and threatened them.
IO said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 452(house trespass) 506(criminal intimidation) 120-B9criminal conspiracy) and 148 and 149( rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and their three unidentified accomplices.
