The Lohian Khas police have arrested three persons on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Shanti and Prince residents of Kamal Pur village, and Gurpreet alias Gopi a resident of Hairan village.
Manjit Kaur wife of Harmail Singh a resident of Kang Kalan village complained to the police the accused armed with sharp-edged weapons barged into her house on the 14 May evening attacked her tore her clothes and ransacked her house.
IO said that a case under section 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to a woman to disrobe.) )452(house trespass), 323,324,326(voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC was registered against the accused and two others who are absconding.
